Tech Data has appointed its first dedicated business development executive for HP multifunctional devices covering the UK and Ireland markets. Mike Leary has moved across to this newly-created post having spent the last three years working on cross-vendor business development within the Print and Supplies team. He previously held the position of Senior Retail Account Manager and has worked at Tech Data for almost a decade in total.
In addition to making sure that HP partners have access to all the products, accessories, promotions and information they need to maximise their business, one of his key objectives will be to encourage more partners to make use of HP managed print services. These services enable end-user organisations to get the very best value from their investment in HP solutions, and help partners to drive increased revenues and customer retention.
Mike says: “This is a great opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to working with HP print partners across the UK and Ireland to help them increase their focus and drive new business. HP’s managed print offerings will be one of the key areas I’ll be working on, helping resellers to understand the benefits of always having access to the latest and best HP technology and optimising the usage of print devices and consumption of accessories. This is a big opportunity and one we really want to develop.”
While results depend upon unique business environment, the way HP products and services are used and other factors, according to industry analysts, savings of up to 30per cent are typical with managed print services
